Cespedes comments are interesting to me, and it seems like a lot of the comments in this thread are skewed by a favorable opinion regarding Sabathia.
First, Jones is a fairly safe commodity. Decent HR totals, okay (not great) BA, poor OBP due to lousy walk rate (OBP matters, people - no walks = fewer times on base = fewer R's and SB's, some RBI's.
Cespedes is a high-risk, high-reward gamble player. He looks very much like a 25 HR, 20 SB player right now. But he is definitely a player who could wind up going 30/30.
Will he do that? Probably not. But we know FOR A FACT that Jones never has, never will. In fact, if Jones steals more than 15, it would be surprising.
P.S. Cespedes stole another base tonight, his third. He has as many steals as Jemile Weeks, a one-category guy (steals), where Cespedes has also logged 4 HR's and 15 RBI's so far.
