Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I was offered Price for my Josh Johnson...
Probably a pointless trade no?
I like that Johnson gets to pitch to a pitcher 3 times a game, plays on the Marlins and laid on a beach all last summer, not to mention he doesn't play the Yanks, Sox and Rays a sh$t ton of times...
What do you guys think?
Hell, I'd bet on Josh Johnson. Phils can't hit this year. Braves aren't fantastic. Neither the Nats.
And, yes, the AL East is a powerhouse. The damn Blue Jays are even going to be legitimate this year.
Price isn't even the #1 in Tampa.
And the other manager's interest speaks volumes too.
I'd watch Johnson tomorrow night. See how he does. But probably keep him.
I see what people are saying about Johnson. However, I've always felt that when you're dealing with commodities that valuable, it's better to bet on each player's floor instead of their ceiling. I definitely think Price's worst season is far better than what might occur in Johnson's case. Then again, Johnson could take the Cy if healthy. If it were me, I'd take Price.
if jj is healthy all year, he will be better than price. price probably does have more ip last year than jj has in the last two though. if this league is h2h id take price for sure, because there is no way you can bank on jj still pitching by the end of the year.
