Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
10 team rotis league with OPS instead of AVG
I have been offered Pedroia and J.bruce for Prince and T.Hunter
C- Wieters, Avila
OF- Stanton, Crisp, Gardner
UTIL- Hunter, Fowler
BN- Pagan, Gamel, Rasmus
I know Prince is the best player in the trade, but i think the league change might hurt him at first. I read a stat that said 9 of his HR last year would not have been HR in the new park. I am basically trading away my 2nd pick and 13th pick for a 2nd and 5th pick... I have to do this right??
Just for shits and giggles. .256, 32 hr, 97 rbi, 84 rs and 8 sb vs .262, 23 hr, 82 rbi, 80 rs, 5 sb. That's Bruce vs Hunter. I think people would be surprised to compare Hunter's 2011 to a lot of guys being picked ahead of him. This year he's hitting cleanup behind Albert in an improved Angels offense.

But Torii is 35 years old and such a free swinger that his OPS always has a ceiling. Jay Bruce is a good young hitter, getting better and on an upward trend. Dustin pedroia, well there's risk, he's not proven, but a 2B with his 2011 numbers just carries a lot of trade value. Don't get me wrong, I love prince, but in every draft/auction I have been in so far this year, some mock drafts etc, Prince and Dustin have always gone for similar values but Bruce always way more than Torii hunter.
You need to rush and hit that accept button.
Torii Hunter has little to no Roto value right now. Pedroia is the second best 2nd baseman and Jay Bruce is a solid citiizen in the outfield. The trade is basically Jay bruce and Dustin Pedroia for Prince. You have to do that.
