Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 team league, h2h 5x5 categories plus Ks, Total Bases, Losses, and Quality starts.
These were my first 2 picks:
12. Carlos Gonzalez
13. Prince Fielder
The 3rd and 4th round is where I run into trouble. What 2 out of this bunch should I take?:
My top targets for this round are Ryan Zimmerman, Pablo Sandoval, Hunter Pence, and Josh Hamilton but ill assume all those are taken because thats the luck you normally get in drafts.
Who do you think I should draft/What are the chances of my top choices being available?

this isn't during my draft dickhead, I'm assuming those are the 2 players that are going to fall to me at 12 and 13 overall and I'm just curious who to land in the next 2 rounds because i always get confused at that spot.
start looking at tough to fill spots.
I's look at a SS if a few have already been taken. I'd also look at a top SP b/c by the time your next 2 come around, many of them will be gone.
Lawrie and Bruce.... Bruce is somewhat proven but still has a lot of upside at 25. Still can turn into a superstud. Lawrie is a 5 cat stud waiting to happen. You played safe in the 1st 2 rounds 3 and 4 is where you take your shot.

Lawrie in round 4 is a horrible mistake. Let someone else waste a high pick on the unproven guy. I mean, I love the guy, he's going to be a monster, BUT you can't expect it right away.
No, it's not. Spending a third or even fourth round pick on an unproven player such as Lawrie is stupid. Even drafting Bruce (who I like) that high is bad news. He doesn't steal bases and he doesn't hit for AVG. In addition, he is a nightmare to own as one of the streakiest players of all time.
