Anything I can improve? i think I need SP help and am tryng to trade for an ace...trying Melky and Holland for Weaver
I would wait a week and then consider shopping Beltre in an attempt to get some SP help. Play Kendrick at 1B and Miggy at 3B until Howard comes back, then put Howie back at Util.
You also need to pay attention these first few weeks and see what pitchers get off to hot starts and snag them. I got Mat Latos in '10 and Ian Kennedy in '11 off waivers early on. Get that type of pickup and trade for some help and you will have a well rounded team.
You definitely need SP/RP help. Hudson is out the first month or so and Sale is being moved to the rotation so you really only have to RPs.
With Weiters as your C I would drop Olivio and grab another SP. Maybe like Minor or Billingsly if they went undrafted.

Any servicable SP is gone now...will have to pck and choose on match-ups...as for RP...I am trying to choose between
Brian Fuentes-he will close for the A's to open the year (the A's will SUCK)
Jonny Venters- excellent K rate but no saves barring injury
Sergio Romo- SEE Venters
Tyler Clippard- SEE Romo
Who would you take and why?
What do you think of this trade offer...trying Melky Cabrera and Derek Holland for Jared Weaver
I am also floating Ryan Howard and Alejandro De Aza for Cliff Lee to a guy in my league who only has Edwin Encarnacion at 1B

The other guy would be nuts to give up Weaver for that, tho I guess it doesn't hurt to make the offer. Maybe he'll make a decent counter-offer.
With Howard not expected to play until at least May, I doubt you could get Lee for him now, tho maybe once Ryan is healthy again.
