Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Join a growing fantasy network!
My name is Corey D Roberts and I am the developer of Major League Fantasy Sports. We run baseball and football leagues (money leagues) (we are looking for free league owners too) geared towards creating a pro-style feel and a lot of activity. We have developed a formula for H2H (baseball and football) that is not easily manipulated. What I mean by not easily manipulated is that you can not stat cheat in any areas because you will damage yourself in many other stat categories. What a successful owner will need to create and maintain is a real major league roster, up and down. We are currently going through an expansion phase and we are looking for avid fantasy players to contact us with their interest level. What makes our leagues better than others is our current owners are so intense and such dedicated competitors that money they win is just icing on the cake. The fantasy baseball world is in need of leagues like ours and according to the fantasy sports trade association there are roughly 35 million people who play fantasy sports. We have an interactive league that has our own you-tube channel, facebook page, twitter page, orkut community, and google accounts. We want to expand our community this year and move in the forward direction in a big way next season. Following us on you-tube, facebook, twitter, and our orkut community is a good way to get accustomed to our styles and activities. We are looking for owners that would like to participate in either free leagues or money leagues to join our network. You can start by contacting me directly, going to you-tube and becoming a subscriber, liking us on our facebook page, joining our orkut community, and following us on twitter.

this message inspires a lot of questions. here are a few of them.
-is this a group of pre-established leagues? if so, what are the
settings, categories, and rules?
-can i create and customize my own league there?
-is it only H2H?
-*why* try to be so much like the real mlb? its "fantasy".
im not trying to criticize, just looking for answers. the message is vague.... and yes i did go to the links, still vague.

I will try to answer your questions in order here.
1. No and I have page on the blog that will tell you the settings. Too complicated a formula to post here.
2. When we expand our leagues next season (2013) and we want other styles of leagues created, so yes.
3. The current leagues are.
4. No disrespect to those who like the exploits of your run of the mill H2H leagues and those who like the dead old boring roto. Our objective is to have the team owner operate all 3 key aspects of a real team. (GM, Manager, Owner) GM makes roster selections, manager makes daily adjustments, and Owner either makes or loses money based on the performance of the latter 2. In our formula it takes a thorough knowledge of the sport, math, and decision making. Those would be the small brush strokes.
We are currently a fantasy network and we are looking for fantasy baseball, football, and basketball enthusiasts. We are in phase 2 of our approach which is building a data base of smart people that love the challenge & competition. Now that we have the formula that is the best set up for H2H.
Whats missing in 80% of the leagues out there is that there is little to no daily decision making and also too many exploits. Having to take risks and make many choices per week is what makes it challenging. You can not be an arm chair QB and compete in these leagues.
To make sure I am clear, we are not going to see that all people who participate once we make our move Jan 2013 conform to everything we do. What we have now is a collection of amazing owners who are the reason we have been able to do what we will do. There is way more to discuss than can be discussed here. We want people to keep tabs on us by subscribing to the you-tube channel, subscribe to the blog, and follow us on twitter. We have a passion for sports and competition. If this is not what you are looking for than I want to thank you for at least giving us a look and I wish you luck.
