So, it sounds like the team in second is getting what he needs for this year? replacing his two scrubs with 2 better bats. I havea feeling the person getting Roy needs pitching more than hitting.
Sounds to me like both teams are getting what they need. Isn't that what trades are supposed to do even if the exact trade value doesn't equal exactly???
Maybe the guy offering the really good bats has a huge lead in the power categories therefore it lowers the overall price of what people will give him??

Yeah, I'll admit I did miss exactly what Weaver has done this year. But I would still take Roy over Weaver anyday of the month. 1+ year for Weaver is a much smaller sample size than what Roy has showed me over the last decade or so.
Also, I think some people are giving too much credit to Cruz. You do realize Stubbs is a top 35-40 player right now while Nelson is closer to 65-70??
