Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Im trying to buy low on Greinke because i know he will be great again soon.
Who should i offer the guy in a straight up 1for1 deal?
OF J Upton
thoughts? I was thinking a guy like maybe Soriano who has been hitting the ball hard (when he hits it) and if thats not enough I have a surplus of closers and that would be option #2. anybody?
Depends on how informed the manager is. If he values Soriano, then he would make the deal. Soriano is a 2-category guy, IMO (HR's, RBI) and prone to just killing a team for a week at a time, but if the guy is desperate for HR's, and you add a lower-tier pitcher like Gee, then maybe.
I have to say, however, as a Greinke owner in keeper league, that his velocity is down. I saw him dealing against the Cardinals last year and he was at 96-98 in the 7th inning. This year, he is at 93-94 in the 2nd inning.
Don't know why. Not happy about it, but it is what it is.
