I dropped him a few weeks ago...but he's come around. Older players are often slow starters. Whether he is worth picking up will depend on who is available in your league. Grab him as long as there is nobody glaringly better, and keep him as long as he is hot. But keep an eye one whether he is getting buried in the 7 hole every game. If he is, he might not get enough at-bats and you might want to consider a player who hits higher in his team's order. He hits in a good run producing lineup and will definitely get plenty of opportunities to drive in runs. There was some talk of a platoon, but Charlie likes him and appears to be standing behind him. Plus they are paying him a lot of money this year so they expect him to be a starter. I also think he get's undervalued because of his age. He did not become an everyday player until he was in his 30's.so he has a lot lower mileage than you would think for a guy his age, and he works hard to keep himself in excellent condition.
