Votto is by far the more proven choice. This is a joke thread right?
Votto- 4+ year MLB averages
avg. .318, slug % .562, OPS .969
Bautista- 6-ish year MLB averages
avg. .247, slug % .462, OPS .811
No comparison, don't be short sighted, then I won't mind riding the short bus with 'ya.

Historically, Votto is better, no doubt. However, Bautista only started being a big HR guy in late 2009. Bautista has become extremely disciplined at the plate. A comparison of their 2011 numbers is not as one sided as this thread has been. I have Longoria coming off the DL and I need to replace Gaby at 1B.
The dream of dealing Bautista to get Votto appears unlikely at best.
My Line up:
C- M. Montero
1B- Gaby Sanchez
2B- R. Weeks
3B- J. Bautista
SS- S. Drew
OF- M. Kemp
OF- M. Holliday
OF- J. Francoeur
Util- R. Roberts
Bn- J. Lucroy
Bn- D. Barney
DL- E. Longoria
DL- K. Morales
