Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
There's a manager about to make me an offer for HanRam. This is my first year playing fantasy baseball, and I'm having a hard time assessing HanRam's value at the moment. (My roster has a real hole at RP. I've got holes at C and 3B, but VMart and Zim on DL, so they'll be filled eventually.)
Here's the other guy's roster. WHat do you think would be reasonable to extort from him for HanRam? He'll also be looking for an OF, and I expect he'll ask me for Rasmus or Grandreson too.
BN Carpenter, Chris
BN Burnett, AJ
Granderson/ HanRam/Rasmus for
Bautista/ Gomes /Hanrahan
I would say Hanrahan because you want RP on sucky teams, unlike SP. For example, on the Pirates, there's going to be a lot of 1 or 2 run wins this year, if any at all. So, there will be that many more save opportunities.
I only picked him (2nd overall pick) bc I was hoping to trade him to someone who would give an arm and a leg. I knew people would give up more than he's worth in an effort to get him, but so far no luck. So far he has been nothing but cancerous to my team. Knew I shoulda went for Braun :(
I'd ask for Jesus Christ and a blowjob.
Seriously, Hanley is one of the top fantasy players possible. You're better off holding on to him most likely. Buy low, sell high. Hanley's off to a slow start so someone's probably hoping to fleece you.

I hear you, and think that's what I'm leaning. But I'm wondering... when do you think it's worth listening. For example, what if he came up with a Hamels/Marmol offer? Don't think he will or would, but would you be interested? (As for SS, I do have Starlin Castro on my roster, and S Drew is an available FA)
