a) you can see who who your hitters are facing by clicking matchup ratings on your team page
b) It's better this way or streaming would be totally out of control
c) P.S. I do not work for yahoo

you can click on opponents and see opposing pitchers.. and boo hoo you wait one whole day ...

As for adding a player the same day, some leagues allow it, some don't. It all depends on the league's settings. Some arte add the same day, some are next day.
Before you go on a childish rant, at least know what you are talking about.
