Target Catching? No one that I have ever heard of has won because they had a great catcher. Of all the positions, catcher is the least important. Unless you get one that plays and makes of their starts at a different position, catchers are second only to pitchers when it comes to injury. They are always dealing with injuries, even when they are starting.
I'm not saying to ignore the position, but don't target it, especially if you in a one catcher league. If you don't get a stud, one that doesn't hurt you will work just fine. If there a choice between a stud outfielder or a stud catcher, give me the outfielder. How many catchers can you name that have led the league in HR, RBI, R, H, SB, or BA? Target 2B and SS, the two hardest positions to fill. Heck a RP is likely to do more for your team then most catchers.
