Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 team h2h league, 9X9, currently have Broxton and Aardsmaa. Had wagner, but traded him earlier this year for Grady (ugh).
Best guys on waivers are SImon, Lidge, Wood and all the handcuffs for poetentially traded closers.
WIth Aardsmaa showing like he's done lately, and Broxton having great trade value, should I just abandoned svaes, seeing as its 1/9th of league totals?
i wouldn't punt saves....quality closers can help most of the time in K's whip and era.
can you please check out my post...thanks

See, I still have guys like Meek and Perez on waiver who c ould be closers in a month, but I also have guy s like Morrow and Niese who are calling my name. If I coud use Borxton and Aadrsmaa (somehow) as trade chips tp upgrade the other categories, I think I'd be laughing, expecially if/when Meek/Perez become closers.
im contemplating the same thing. saves is vey one sided stat, esp if your closers put men on base. rather have some high tier set up men like bard, marshall, meek
punt 'em inside the 20 like jeff feagles

I agree. Plus when they put guys on base it ruins my TB, WHIP, etc. Then there is the dreaded closer pitches 1 inning, gives up a run, yet gets the save. all while earning a 9.00 ERA.
I have multiple teams and have guys like Feliz, Broxton, Wilson, Bailey, Wagner. To me the only guy who has been money this year in multiple categories is Wilson. some people believe that you need 3 closers to win your league, well I'm getting ready to deal some.
