Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Chose him in the third round. Should I byte the bullet and look elsewhere like maybe Kevin Kouzmanoff who is having a better season then Sandoval.
Your thoughts are appreciated
I still think he's too good a talent to let go this early. His value was much higher last year since he was a C and that made his value artificially rise. But May was the first month ever that he's hit below 300 in the bigs. I think pitchers have figured him out a little bit, but he will over come it. You cannot get rid of him right now. His power is not out of this world, probably 20-25 hr power right now, but he will start hitting over 300 again...Think of him as Billy Butler at 3B. Kouz is not worth your effort. Maybe bench Sandoval if you don't like him right now, but i would not get rid of him yet. Unless you can trade him for decent value.
This is advice coming from a fellow yankee's giant's fan. (I wouldn't get rid of teix for Konerko)
I've moved my second round pick (Rollins), my fifth round pick (Morales), and 13 of my 25 other picks.
It sucks to be wrong, but sometimes making the move is better than not making the move. And on record, I am in first place with 10 of the 25 players I drafted.
