I can keep three players but lose the corresponding draft pick, any ideas on who based on my draft and final roster?
Rd# Player Name
1. Miguel Cabrera
2. Manny Ramírez
3. Carl Crawford
4. David Ortiz
5. Kevin Youkilis
6. Brian McCann
8. Adam Dunn
9. Tim Lincecum, Stephen Drew
12. Heath Bell
13. Erik Bedard
14. Mike González
16. José López
21. Adam Jones
23. Jered Weaver
24. Cliff Lee, Adam Lind, Jolio Borbon, Randy Wolf, John Maine, Ryan Madson, Tim Wakefield, Tim Hudson, Neftali Feliz, Homer Bailey, Mike MacDougal (all available for last round picks)
i'm thinking miguel cabrera, lincecum, and cliff lee...the key to any draft is finding the best deals later in the draft..and lincecum and lee are no doubt the best deals you can get in your draft..i think cabrera is a player you have to hold on to even though there are a couple other players who may be of value in their respective round..he's a player you can build around..
General consensus seems to be a definite on Lincecum (9) then we have a mixed bag of Crawford (3), Youkilis (5), Adam Jones (21), Adam Lind (24), and Cliff Lee (24).
I think Adam Lind is a good value for the production he put out last year but he seems to be getting over looked. If Adam Jones stays healthy he can be a five tool player and Cliff Lee could be a question mark after moving to Seattle....
With the rounds in mind I think I would go Crawford (still a high price tag in the 3rd round but is surely worth above a 3rd round pick). Adam Jones in the 21st round is a steal. And I think I would keep Lincecum over Lee, just for the fact that Linecum has not made a switch in teams and Lee is once again back to the AL.
With that said keeping Crawford, Adam Jones, and Linceum kinda scares me becuase it pretty much fills up your outfield, and leaves your infield, much harder possitions to fill, empty. As much as Crawford is an asset you may want to trash him and get a 3rd round pick and keep Youkilis with his 1st/3rd eligibility to give you more freedom in your draft.
