Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I have been running my league for 6 years now and I am looking to explore the option of making the 2010 season the start of being a keeper league, but I don't know much about running one and want to know a few things....
If a manager drops out, ex: the manager of the "Grand Salamis" and I get someone to take their place does that new manager take over the "Grand Salamis" team? And if so, how are the keepers decided if it's done at the end of the year and the manager had no intentions on returning and never assigned keepers?
Also, say 2 managers dropped out and that means 2 teams are open. I find a new manager to take over one of those two teams...do they have a choice in which one of the 2 teams they want to manage, and after taking over a team can they change the team name and logo to more suit them?
From what I have read, keepers are best if decided at the end of the season before the next seasons draft. So on Yahoo! specifically...does every manager have to submit their keepers or tell me the commissioner who they want to keep for me to submit them?
What's a good number range to go off of when deciding the amount of players a manager can keep (minimum / maximum)? Also, is it a good idea to instill a rule that each manager can only keep a player for a certain number of seasons?
Is Yahoo! the best place to do a keeper league or do other sites do a better job?
I'm just interested on how keeper leagues are ran and how they can be managed from a commissioner's stand point and am open for many comments, answers, and suggestions. Thank you!
My only closers are Joe Nathan and George Sherrill...I picked up Tony Pena when it came out that Qualls was having arm problems, but Qualls is still closing...
Should I hold on to Pena to see if Qualls will hit the dl, or should I drop Pena and pick up Hafner?

if you are ok with losing the other stats that matty-ho is going to put up just for the steals, then yeah...bj is on a 53sb pace...but if a jump in the sb category is going to hurt your other cat's and not make up for what you gain in sb's than its not worth it....
is this a good trade for me... I give markakis and i get chad billingsley.
beltran ,granderson,j. upton, and manny when he comes back.
My pitching staff
I would probably drop cueto or lilly if i get this trade.

yeah i would do the deal b/c when man-ram gets back in a couple of weeks your OF is stacked, so to deal one away now for a stud pitcher would be very wise...
by the way- it would be CRAZY to drop either cueto or lily...johnny-c is the overall 6th best starter for the season so far and lily is #10....if you make the deal you have to find something else to drop and not those studs.
Had a trade offered to me in Head to Head
it was Aramis Ramirez ( back in 2 -3 weeks) and Jose valverde
for my Shin Soo Choo
i want to pull the trigger on this
What do you guys think?? i would like some more saves and Melvin Mora just aint cuttin it....
