Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I have both Carpenter and Bedard. I also have a trade in the works and need to drop a player once Carpenter is activated Wed for this trade to be processed. I've narrowed it down to Bedard, who is doing great but mmissed a start and has had issues in the last few years, or Carpenter, who has done great this year also, but is always a risk. I'm in a 6 team league, and without listing my whole team, I assure you, these are the 2 best options to go. What would you do?
challenge yourself and get in a deeper league, hate to say it here in STL but I would maybe drop Carp for now...can you watch him pitch on the DL??? He did win a Cy Young a few years ago and the cards have some bats going this year. SEA sucks this year.

yes i wish i had more teams i nthis league, but it is for money and i know few peoplel interested enough to do a pay baseball league. but this is challenging in its own way, trying to figure out which great player to keep or start. I bench a HR everyday it seems. I am in 10 team league also, and thats even harder to make a deal with bc people don't want to get screwed.

Yes you are right, I don't need both. I have Greinke, Lincecum, Peavy, Bilingsley also with Cole Hamels coming via trade. My main thing was to play defense and keep a top of the line SP away from the others bc I am in 5th place and have been all year.
???? I'm leaning toward dropping Carpenter while he's still on the DL. People in my league aren't too attentive, and if they see his name under the transation list with the DL icon, maybe they'll ignmore him, and he'll be available a while if I need him.
Still woul dbe interested to see what others would do in this position.
