Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
hey...reyes owner...have been using andrus but should I drop him for peralta??? I have ellsbury for steals but alone he's really not enough to win week to week (i liked the reyes ellsbury combo)
blake (amram dl)
morales (just dropped ortiz for him)
I've been trying to reach a deal with this guy all week. I offered....he counters....i counter that counter...and so on.
Heres what he countered with this time:
Lance Berkman for my Brandon Inge.
I WOULD accepted this right away, but my other catchers (Martin and Soto) have severly underachieved(already dropped Soto). Do you think Berkman will step it up a notch or continue to underachieve? Varitek and Barajas are my best options in FA.
Another owner in my league has countered my offer of Brandon Phillips and Chris Davis for Chase Utley with...
Utley + Stephen Drew for Phillips + Carpenter...
All I would be doing with Drew is dropping him as I have Tejada and Hardy at SS. Who would be another good player from his team to get? Would I be giving up too much for Utley?
My rotation is stacked with Sabathia, Halladay, Greinke, Carpenter, Slowey, Scherzer and Hanson, so I can afford to lose a pitcher.
The only real need I have is a quality Utility guy or a more stable outfielder to compliment Damon, Victorino, Lind and Luke Scott.
The other guy's team looks like this...
Russell Martin, Todd Helton, Chase Utley, Hank Blalock, Marco Scutaro, Matt Holliday, Adam Dunn, Michael Cuddyer, Michael Bourn, Ryan Ludwick, Nick Johnson, Stephen Drew
Scott Richmond, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Kerry Wood, Fernando Rodney, Michael Wuertz, Dan Haren, LaTroy Hawkins, Cliff Lee, J.A. Happ, Jose Valverde
So, should I accept the trade as is? Reject it? Make a counter offer? What would you do?
where do i need to improve?? any ideas??
Thanx in advance!

You know, Justin Upton is a very interesting player. There is no way he is going to be able to keep up his average. His batting average on balls in play is unsustainable and will come down. However, his power is for real. In a few years he will be a top 20 fantasy player.
