Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
If you base it on the "value" I think you give up too much.
I agree Hamels is a risk, but it's too early to tell. Granderson is still young and improving. Johnson and Zeigler are not top options. You are giving away two top tier players for one. I never like doing that.
Idk if you really win, think about it, Hamels can be a top pitchers, and Granderson is a runs master, you will get 110+ runs easy, plus 20 hr and 15 steals. Teix is a def upgrade over Knoerko but Teix wont get good until June. I would only do they deal if you need a Closer.

I think Hamels will be a poor pitcher this year since he pitched so much last year compared to this year (hence the VErducci Effect where he should not pitch as well this year), plus he already has had injury problems and got destroyed this week (Though I was trying to trade him even before he got injured and that start). I do not like Granderson part one bit.
Should I try and counteroffer by replacing Granderson with Delmon Young, and taking Kelly Johnson out of the trade?
Fair... but the Tex side wins. He's just too good not to, and in the Yankee lineup, the potential for RBI is ridiculous.
Hamels is very very good, though, and I like the secondary players on that side of the deal better. Still... I go with Tex.
And hey- I don't know if you've ever been to Rotomania.com before, but every time you ask a trade question, your lineup and league settings automatically get displayed so that people can easily view your entire team and offer better advice.
Plus, you get notified via email whenever someone replies to your post... so you don't have to wait around refreshing the page to see if anyone responds. Anyway- you should check it out!
