Yeah bad move. Sorry mate. Markakis would produce in every capacity in every category for years to come. Plus he is considered a top 10 OF'er in many ways. Soto is a great young catcher, but he won't be able to produce as much as Markakis IMO.
It's not like you got ripped-off, that keeper league element alleviates the loss, but still, you got the short end of the stick on this deal.
Bad. Soto is a great catcher, but Markakis is one of the best young OFs. He should be able to convert some of his 50+ doubles into HRs and maintain that for many years to come.
