Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Which Baker? The Pitcher or the Catcher? I'll assume the pitcher, lol...
If thats the case - Scott Baker does nothing for me. He's junk.
Give me a proven, consistent Maggs (at any age - well for another year or 2 anyways) over completely unproven hype child.
Look, neither Soriano or Pena are going to hit .350, lol.
Soriano is going to steal more bases, Pena hit more dingers, Soriano a bit higher average, Pena knock in more runs, Soriano miss more games.
I'll take Maggs and Pena, barely. Keep the pitcher, lol.
I'd rather be A. "Maggs is old" is not justification. He's 35. Fonzie is 33. Pena can mash, that .247 average isn't gonna repeat. Not gonna hit .300, but I think .275 is pretty reasonable to expect. Baker is a great ratio guy.

Or Davis could hit .240 with 18 HR's and be widely considered the biggest disappointment of the big name rooks.
I just ain't sold on him yet. /shrug
Plus, which name is funner to say all the time??
"Maggs" or "Davis"
I think you found your answer my friend....
