Hanley for Morneau and Haren?
I was just offered Hanley Ramirez.
I would have to give up Justin Morneau and Dan Haren.
What do you think?-
No Yankees I am questioning Hanleys Health

Nothing to question my friend
Mike Phillips, of The Miami Herald, reports Florida Marlins SS Hanley Ramirez (shoulder) returned to the lineup Sunday, March 22, and went 0-for-2 with a sacrifice fly and also committed an error.

I have been offered Hanley for Josh Becket. I have an excellent pitching staff so it will not kill me. My question is how is Hanleys shoulder?

If you have been offered Hanley for Beckett and you are looking for advice I question your thought process.
Take the money and run. Don't look back. A 5 tool player for a every 5th day pitcher cmon now you need advice for this

take it, you open up your util spot, which you can use to pick up and drop hot hitters, or use the roster spot to get lucky and find a big bat that comes out of nowhere. You take a pitching hit, but you can overcome it if youre active. See if you can also get back whichever player he is going to drop, see if you like that guy more than any FAs.

I countered for one of his lesser pitchers. There is nothing really too good on the wire.
I kinda wanted to just take it without the pitcher, so he cant change his mind.
We will see though

If you have a good sp and 1b to replace them then I say take it and run and even if you don't take it and run!

I don't have a good SP to replace that is the thing. I would have to pick someone off waivers.
Pujols is already my 1b man. Morneau was utility.
I would move Hanley to SS, and Michael young to utility.
Is it worth it?

I think thats a little too much to give up for hanley
-
I'm gonna go with No. Do you think Hanley will outperform both Morneau and Haren? Hanley is good for 35 Hr and maybe 100RBI, while Morneau is good for 25+ Hr and 100+ RBI. Haren will prolly get around 15-16 wins with a low ERA and high K's. Who was your first pick?

Pujols was my first pick

You're being offered Hanley Ramirez, and you don't need to return a first-round pick for him. Take it and pray it doesn't get vetoed.

anyone else?

Yes I was thinking it was a gift too. He also has Furcal.
I know this is a big hit to me but I figure I could fill in for Haren with someone of waivers.
Morneau is in my utility spot too. I already have Pujols at 1B. Michael Young is my SS which disgusts me- 1 Reply to help

Why does Young disgust you? I say pull the trigger.

are you sure that was offered to you. it seems like a gift. what does he do for a ss?
