Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
in a standard H2H league, nonkeeper, which would be the better option:
Jay Bruce or Andre Ethier?
i think realistically, Ethier should have a better year, but Bruce has a lot of potential to break out. Also, these two OF lie at the bottom of my list (i also have Bay, Ludwick, and Pence) so niether would see serious playing time unless they break out. that said, is it better to take a risk on Bruce or go with the safe choice in Ethier?
Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks!
In a non-keeper situation Ethier is the better option by far. His production last year was excellent, especially after Manny was traded to LA. This year he'll have a full year of Manny batting behind him. Bruce should continue to improve but I don't think it will be a full breakout season for him. Once pitchers got him figured out last year he really struggled.

Hope you like what you see. And best of luck to you this baseball season!
take 5150's advice with a grain of salt..
i personally think between those two bruce will by far be the better option, he showed glimpses last year of taking over that reds offense. i think this year he'll be much more consistent.
please refer to my team/question below.

i disagree, definitely eithier... take a look at his numbers after manny joined the team and he got to hit in front of him... they were incredible... that said, this year he will get to hit in front of manny the entire year, that puts him in place for a very big break out year

thanks, i know i need to improve my outfield and im working on it. it's relatively weak because the rest of my team is much stronger. to start, i'm gonna drop either bruce or ethier so i need to know who the better option is. anyone else?
