first off kubel on the bench seriously? twins got 4-5 of's with the potential to start drop kubel now. go younger with more potential. and drop rentria hes a wash. pick up a back up 2b. and you can put alexi at ss when you need. your team is very versitile with alexi figgens and young though. you can do better then pence in of im sure. at least start hunter over him. and id just say try getting some better pitching for you bench
you should've taken some fliers on rookies and 2nd year guys... travis snider types (guys who played last year who are young and top prospects and will start this year)... there are soooo many young stud SP's and you don't have any of them. this would be an average fantasy team, but a below average dynasty team.
Your team is OK. Pitching is below average and your hitting lacks power. You also have a couple players that in my opinion are over hyped. Such as alexi rameriez. Don't get me wrong he might do great, but its a big risk for the high pick it takes to get him. My advice would be to trade the high risk young players for some proven power and fill the holes with waiver wire pickups. Also your pitching can easily upgrade if you watch the waiver wire and aggresively grab pitchers that start to roll out of the gate.
Pretty good for a 14 team league. I think your pitching is in decent shape because I like Vazquez and Harang to both bounce back this year. You could use help at third and short. Maybe if you can find someone that's high on Burnett trade him for IF help. He's a big risk.
And hey- I don't know if you've ever heard of http://Rotomania.com before, but we now allow members to add their fantasy baseball teams to their Profile pages.
Would you mind being one of the first fantasy baseball fans to sign up and test out the site? Every time you ask a trade question, your lineup automatically gets displayed so people can easily view your entire team and offer better advice. Here's an example of a recent keeper-league trade involving Jose Reyes/Justin Morneau and Evan Longoria/Matt Kemp/Stephen Drew:
And here's an example of a Rate My Team question that's up for discussion right now:
Hope you like what you see. And best of luck to you this baseball season!
I think you did good for a 14 team league. But you do need some pitching help. Your starters are weak and your have only one closer. Ziegler will not be the closer in Oak. He's good for holds though.
Try trading Giambi. I think he's the strongest trade bait that you have.
Martin, Alexei Ramirez, Sizemore, Dye, Morneau (if he was taken after rd 5), Peavy, Vazquez, Valverde, Nolasco, Harang, Soriano.
Figgins, Young, Hunter, Posada, Renteria, Pence
If not listed I am just luke warm on them.
Without knowing where you drafted and the league format - further analysis is not possible.
