Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
In 5th place in an 11 team roto league. Made a bunch of trades and trying to make a run for it. Here's my team. Any thoughts on room for improvement?
OF: Vlad, Kemp, Damon
UTIL: Jay Bruce, Chris Davis
SPs: CC, Webb, Hamels, Cain, Jurjens, Carpenter
RPs: Gregg, Broxton, Gaurdado, Heilman, Zumaya
Is Ianetta avaialable at catcher? Shoppach works if you don't have a top three catcher.....
I was going ot ask about steals but you answered me earlier.....
Look at chris perez as a saves and k's candidate.....
where are you lacking??

runs, losses, avg and whip (how i can be so ahead in SBs and so behind in runs is beyond me).
what if i can pull off like I give up Ryan Howard, Shoppack and Kendrick for Kinsler and Granderson and Iannetta?
at this point, you have to look at the league and see which cats you can make up ground in. For example, if you are locked into an 8 with HR, with 7 like 15 behind and 9 15 ahead, maybe you can trade some power for help in a category that will really boost you.
I think you could use a little more speed in the OF, maybe try to trade for someone like victorino. Jurgens will fade and can't be counted on for W's because the braves are awful now, so try to trade him. You can use a closer, heilman and zumaya are time bombs, they will kill your whip and era. Unless you desperately need saves, I would pick up even a middle reliever who is pitching great over those two. They may have minimal trade value though.

but what do I need to pick up? i figure until I have a player worth taking a shot on, i'll let him set on my bench in case he gets it together and starts closing. but if there's something i should be picking up, he's the first to be dropped
