Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
something about the all star game that was in the paper was pretty interesting.
"0 unused pitchers left at the end of the game, the main reason NL skipper Clint Hurdle was considering using third baseman David Wright on the mound if the game had lasted much longer."
I'm a Tribe fan, so the whole homefield advantage thing meant nothing to me. At that point, I wasn't rooting for either side, I just wanted the game to keep going for the sole purpose of watching a position player pitch.
And the AL was considering using John Drew. An all-star game in 2002 was called off as a tie because they ran out of pitchers.
I think they should have just kept going no matter what. The starters should go three innings.
