first, trade one of your catchers. two catchers is one too many. a contender will overpay to get one. maybe package phillips and posada for utley and a solid pitcher (duchsherer caliber). that gets rid of phillips' low average. phillips is not winning you steals by himself anyway. try to package two of your ofs for a good 1b like adrian gonzalez and if that doesn't work try a one-for-one say conor jackson for byrnes or hunter move guillen to ss. trade bedard and harang if you can get good return don't just give them away.

Tulo should be good at SS for the rest of the year, but if he doesn't work out, you can move Guillen there and find another 1B. Your waiver wire should have plenty of talent (ie, good players on hot streaks), so track those and plug them in as necessary to help your offense.
