Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I need to trade one of my outfielders (I have six) for a SP.
I am not sure who to trade away, but would Pence for Matzusaka be fair?
What other value could I get for any of my other outfielders?
And get some diversity in the outfield. You have zero power except Bruce, who I am guessing like everyone else, is all of a sudden on the Bruce-bandwagon because ESPN blew him up in his first week.
Is it McClout or Doumit who is a catcher and outfielder eligible? If you have that guy, keep him. If you don't, I would drop McClout or Ellsbury.
Ellsbury knows a lot about crowded outfields too. Between Manny, Drew and Coco in OF, Ortiz at DH and Youk and Lowell at the corners the Sox can't do much.
I know everyone likes Ellsburys versatility but this is fantasy baseball. Do you really think it's worthwhile to waste a roster spot on a guy who is not an everyday player? Are you going to check the lineup everyday to see if he is playing?
If so, then did you ever grab Joey Gathright? He steals bases too and is usually a FA.
I think you're buying into the early hype of Ellsbury and you're afriad to drop him.
If McClout is not the C,OF guy (then it's Doumit) then honestly I would consider both McClouth and Ellsbury. Butsince you only need one McClouth.
he is only doing good right now becuase Bay is on fire and he is seeing better pitchers. When Bay slows down McClouth will be a no one again.
Welcome to baseball 3 months in. lets keep in mind this doesnt end until October.
