Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Thoughts on the following trade:
Manny, Cano and Bard for Murphy, Sanchez and Navarro
To date, Murphy, Sanchez and Navarro have been far superior but I doubt that continues. I have been offered matching positions, in Manny, Cano and Bard - and I think I should do it.
I wonder about Manny and Cano though.
if your saying that yur getting manny and cano... definitely do it dude. Cano has been rising fast out of his slow start and we all know what happened with him last year in the second half of the season, great numbers. and manny being manny will beat any of those other guys in the long run
No way. He's trying to sell high, and get Manny and Cano from you, both of whom are underperforming.
I would wait a couple of more weeks on Manny and Cano. Cano seems to be heating up, and Manny needs to stop worrying about hr milestones, and then he'll be solid again.
Besides, no one you are getting in that trade was predicted to do much before the season began.
cano's finally starting to prove his value. he's one of the best fantasy second basemen and anyone who's given up on him already...is just dumb. i've suffered through cano's slump as well...you're getting the better deal. manny is manny, i don't understand how people trade him for anything less than second round picks. i think you win this trade easily if you do it.
well all the guys your trading were probably guys you picked up off the FA pool. so your getting some really talent there. manny will finish w/ 30hrs, 100rbis he always does. cano has been doing much better the last few games. look at his last 5 games or so. there pretty good. so yeah make the trade and hope it doesnt get vetoed

That's ridiculous. You're trading the two best players in that deal in Cano and Manny.
Cano will bounce back for 90 RBIS
Manny will hit 25-30 with 100 RBI. Basically the same as last season. You can't blame his lack of production on Ortiz. Manny was producing when Ortiz wasn't.
Horrible, horrible trade man.
