Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
i was proposed this trade, my lowell and hideki for his fukudome and yunel escobar, i counteroffered with holliday and yunel for my lowell and hideki. I have crede as my other 3B and yunel will be my back up. is this a fair trade? I am not going to give two proven guys for up and comers.
Nobody in their right mind will send you Matt Holliday (let alone Y. Escobar too) for Mike Lowell and Matzui. The first offer was pretty fair. I wouldn't call Fukudome unproven...the guy was an all-star every year in Japan. Escobar isn't really unproven either since he hit above .300 last year for Atlanta too. And he's eligable to play 3 positions....but nobody is going to give you a top 15 hitter for two guys that may or may not be top 80 hitters.
maybe holliday is too much. but this is the third time this guy has offered me a trade for matsui and i am just seeing how far he will go to get him. I have a stacked team already with ortiz, utley, soto, mclouth, upton, and guillen, cant hurt to try and see. what about kemp and yunel? any better?
heres his team:
SP - Webb, E. Santana, Mussina, King Felix, Lester, C. Young
RP - Jenks, Nathan
You tell me what would be a fair offer: lowell and matsui for yunel and someone else. i could also use a pitcher
