Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
pitching question. i've got oswalt starting tonight. my opponent has clay buckholtz, brad penny and josh beckett still left to start for him this week. i'm leading in k's by 16 era is tied at 3.13 and i'm winning in whip .99 to 1.37 we're also tied in wins at two. should i start oswalt today trying to win k's and hope for the best with era or just go with winning whip and saves and hope for era thus giving up on k's? second question. i have four closers on my team. cj wilson k-rod brian wilson and brad lidge. should i try to trade one of them and what kind of bats can i get with one of them?
dye and aaron hill were dropped in my league. Here is my team. Should I pick up either one of them and who should I pick up?
OF J. Upton
BN Zimm(in trade proposal)
SP - Marcum, Owings, Floyd, Wainwright, Cueto and Wellenmeyer (both in trade proposal)
RP - Saito, Street, Lyon
Maine vs Hudson tonight. I have both pitchers.
I'm losing: ERA 3.82 to 3.12, Wins 2 - 1, WHIP 1.18 - 1.41, Hits 40 - 38, HR 4 - 3, and Ks 42 - 29.
My opponent does not have any starters today but has Webb and F. Hernandez tomorrow. I have non tomorrow and just the 2 today.
So, question is: Who should I start? Or both?

this is a sticky situation, but I start both. Look, the Mets are struggling and the Braves are a bit also, Hudson gets the advantage here, but I still start both. Especially if your opponent has two gems pitching tomarrow

wait on it to see if LaRoche can pick up the slack, but AJ is a solid player, Soto is the one I would drop, I wouldn't do it now because I do like him, but because he is a rookie, he is risky. Stay put for now though
this was just proposed to me last night: give Jason Bay, Ryan Dempster, and Johnny Cueto for C.C. Sabathia, and Joba Chamberlain. He canceled and re-proposed the trade with Brad Hawpe instead of Bay, should I counter with the original offer or just accept this?
my OF are Carlos Beltrán, Eric Byrnes, Nick Markakis, and Kosuke @#$%udome. and my other SPs are Jake Peavy, Aaron Harang, James Shields, Tim Lincecum, Javier Vazquez, and Brian Bannister
Holds- Clearly there are obvious frontrunners such as Marmol, Broxton, Heath Bell, Franklin etc. everyone can see with by clicking 'Holds' on the player pages. Any predictions on lesser knowns who should accumulate very high 'Holds' numbers by the end of the year? Reasoning?
