Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
booo i could get a better team if I picked names out of a hat - average pitching, great SB stats, but no power
I think Griffey's scheduled for a hospital visit and Glaus is about ready to be buried...
whoever said Webb was getting cy young...wow...gl with that one; he's good, but not that good
good team, not 1st place...
anybody who thinks that roster is a winner is wrong....you need to improve on all hitting categories (glaus is a joke to have in a 12 team league...i like most of your hitters except mccan and glaus, and griffey could be solid along with milledge...I see only 3 legit SP, and one of them (gallardo) is young and hurt....webb and carmona are solid pitchers, but both are sinkerballers with low k/9 rates, so you're gonna be weak in K's and saves, not too mention wins/ERA/WHIP from the fact that you'll probably be using weaker pitchers to fill the innings, or you'll lose in 3 categories cuz you won't play enough innings....either way, your staff is crappy, even though i think santana will have a bounce back year...i like broxton, but he should be a 3rd-5th RP on a team, definitely not your 2nd best RP....like I said, potential, but in a 12 team public league, not a favorite unless everyone picked really crappy teams
I definitly have the talent to win 4 out of 5 hitting categories and if I can win at least 2 in pitching I'll be good enough to win a public league. If you've ever played in a public league before you would know that 9 out of the 12 people there are idiots.
So you are banking your entire pitching on Webb and Carmona to lead you so pitching catagory wins? Thats not good. Your offense is impressive but you will not win that many catagories in pitching. a couple wins in the pitching catagories here and there but not much.
