Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
First the background of my league:
It is a keeper league.
My OF currently consists of Alfonso Soriano, Vernon Wells, Jermaine Dye, Michael Bourn and Rick Ankiel.
I am stacked in the INF with Victor Martinez, Ryan Howard, Chone Figgins, Jimmy Rollins, Carlos Gullien, Carlos Delgado, Orlando Cabrera and Aramis Ramirez.
My rotation sits with Javier Vazquez, Matt Cain, Feliz Hernandez, John Maine, Pedro Martinez, Francisco Liriano, Chris Carpenter and Greg Maddux
In our league there is no limit on innings pitched so you can add and drop players as you wish.
I have currently been offered this trade:
I thought about doing this in a heartbeat, but is Delmon Young really better than the OF I currently have? Is Halladays best years behind him? How healthy is Escobar? Can Felix Hernandez finally break through to the elite?
i would do this trade as well. Not only are you getting a stud in Halladay who's best years are not behind him, Escobar is also a stud when healthy, and will be back in the Angels rotation at some point during the first half of the season. Delmon Young has upside, he has only been in the bigs for one full season and almost had 100 rbi. Pull that trigger.
Why havent you accepted this deal already???
Delmon Young is a great young player with 20/20 potential. Halladay a a good starter that will give you a decent ERA and WHIP and probably 15+ wins. Those two alone are worth King Felix. Escobar is gravy even if he is hurt.
Also, why do you even have Chris Carpenter on your roster?? The guy wont pitch until at least July, maybe August. Drop him and let someone else waste a roster spot.

I accepted the deal awhile ago. I hope King Felix becomes Princess Felix!
Anyway, to answer the Carpenter question. I am in a Keeper League, so once he gets back healthy I will not only have him for the rest of this year but also for the next few.
