8 teams. but the league has been going on since fantasy baseball has been availible. i have just picked up players before they have became stars and held on to them.
pujols, wright, reyes, peavy i picked these guys up there rookie year and got lucky they have turned into what they have...
That is a really solid team with some tough decision for sure .... I would keep the top 9 you named postion players (If I remembered these correctly) .... A-Rod, Big Al, Reyes,Wright, Carlos Lee, Vlad, Berkman, Brian Roberts (Can have a great year if he gets traded to the Cubs), and Crawford. I would release Michael Young and Pence both are really good but not as valuable to your team cause you have better options at there positions. Pitchers I would keep Peavy, Oswalt, and Kasmir. I am not a fan of closers cause they only get you one category. Just make sure that you address the needs of your team whatever you decide to do. Good Luck
Knowing the size of the league, scoring basis, and how many players a roster can have would help. Just by knowing the players, this is what I would do:
have an infield of Pujols, Roberts, Reyes, A-Rod, and Wright. An outfield of Crawford, Lee, Vlad. SPs of Peavy, Kazmir, and Oswalt, and Putz as your closer. No matter who you're keep you're letting go of some good players. Keeping these guys has you covered at every postion but catcher. Shopping A-Rod around for a stud catcher (no less than V-Mart, Mauer, and Martin will do) and a stud pitcher would be a good idea. Might be able to get three players for him.
