Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 team H2H League
I have the 7th pick in a snake draft.
Should I trade my # 55 and # 66 picks for # 47 and # 74?
Does the benefit of moving up 8 spots from 55 to 47 outweigh the disadvantage of moving down 8 spots from 66 to 74? If I accepted this trade, my first several picks would be # 7, 18, 31, 42, 47, 74, 79...
I am hesitant to accept this trade because, looking at mock drafts and Yahoo's rankings, it seems like many of the second and third tier QBs (Stafford, Luck, Ryan, RG3, Foles, Brady, Newton, Romo, Cutler) are drafted between the 50th and 70th picks. I don't really want to be left with Kaepernick, Rivers, Wilson, etc. at picks 74 and 79.

Thanks. At 47, I may be looking at Gore, Joique, Patterson, Torrey Smith, Harvin. At 55, I may be looking at Luck, DeSean, Welker, Chris Johnson, Wallace, Cameron. At 66, I may be looking at Ryan, Foles, Brady, Colston. At 74, I may be looking at Richardson, Ridley, Decker, Cutler, Maclin, Edelman.
This is some serious and crazy forecasting. I don't think you know how a draft will go, because you always have those few guys that pick crazy.
I say stick with your first gut instinct. If hesitant then don't do it. Depends on scoring, if QB's are scored high, then stick with your thoughts to get a better one.
sorry not a lot of help, crazy question!

It's true that some guys make some crazy picks, but I've drafted in this league before and no one deviates from the rankings too much. I know it doesn't completely make sense, but if we can use last year's draft as a guide 11 QBs were taken by pick 58. It is standard scoring, so QB TDs are 4pts.
