Which QB to trade for a stud at RB, P. Manning or Brees
Somehow I ended up with both and now I am thinking about shipping one or the other to get a stud RB. Which one should I get rid of, and who sould I be able to get in return. This topic is deleted.
I think you get rid of Brees. Manning offers more value in his name alone. He is the consensus number one fantasy QB, and you should be able to get a lot back for him. If you trade with a team that is weaker at QB, you can ask for a king's ransom in return.
Completely disagree with Bad. Make the trade. Keep Brees. I think he'll have a bigger year, but the main thing is that you know that top 2 QB consistency is there. Remember, 2 seasons ago Manning had almost 100 less points than he did last season. And that number isn't close to what Brees has done last two seasons. Expect Brees to be at least as good as he's been last few years, while Manning will have a regression. I bet they'll be close to each other, but I'd keep Brees just for the sake of consistency.
Now, if you keep both for because you're afraid that one will get hurt, you might be missing out on an opportunity to get your stud RB. Chances are that neither one will get hurt. In Fantasy you can't keep a backup just to feel safe, thus giving up the opportunity to field a better overall roster.
Right now I would just keep both of them. You never know when a pre-season injury may happen to one of them or another teams QB that might force a team to overpay for one of yours. Just sit back and wait.
