Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I know he's with the Jets, but they have to throw it to someone. The other WRs are Stephen Hill, Kerley, and Nelson. Tight End isn't exactly scaring anyone either. I know Geno isn't Peyton Manning, but he's gotta be targeting Decker.. A LOT, right?
He's a good red zone receiver, caught 8 TDs with Orton/Tebow at QB on year. Geno has to better than Tebow, right?
Is Decker worth a 8th or 9th round pick? Possible WR3 material?
I think it is reasonable to expect 70/1000/7 from Him this year. As stated above, he is their only weapon at WR. One thing to note is they drafted a TE with their first pick, Jace Amaro out of Texas Tech. He is a Jimmy Graham type, more of a WR then a TE but he is huge and has great hands. He should help open up the field for Decker.
those guys didn't have any good advice for you..lol
Go ahead and let people think that Peyton did everything for this guy and that he's an easy cover wow..
Sounds like something Brad Evans is feeding these guys.
scoop him up in later rounds with confidence its a cant lose scenario when your in those rounds..
WR3 is likely just about right, perhaps WR29-34. But, why target any WR in that range? The difference in fantasy points between WR 25 or so and WR 60 or so should be, once again, so small that, once you are in that range in your draft, it makes more sense to draft every other position and return very late to get a Wheaton, ODB, your best guess of a Pats WR, or some other WR flier.
I dont want decker starting for me. I cant imagine he would fall far enough for me to take him.
The "they have to throw it to someone" theory doesnt fly imo, not when there are ZERO elite players involved.
Decker is very coverable and will see #1 cbs every game. Smith isnt good enough to throw him open.
I wont be surprised if he doesnt finish at the top of the jets wr corp in points just because hill etc will see easier coverage.

I tend to agree with acb. Decker is someone I am avoiding. His numbers will take a hit going from Denver to New York, and his production will not justify where he is being drafted. There are better receivers you can wait on that will outproduce him. Pass
