Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Here is the deal. Inherited this team last year after initial league draft was completed (invited after the draft) and the team was drafted by Yahoo rankings. Only real RB on roster is Trent Richardson, Vick Ballard next best RB on roster. 16 team dynasty, non-PPR. Real need a RB but not sure which way to go.
Jonathan Franklin GB
Zac Stacy STL
or Marcus Lattimore SF
Thinking about going M. Lattimore this year and hope for another good draft spot for next year and work the waivers hard this year and big the team over time.
What would you do? Who would you select?
Thanks for your suggestions in advance.
I might go franklin and see if something happens to Lacy. Franklin has highest ceiling and highest floor on that offense with his talent ('some' scouts believed he was #1 back or approaching it by draft day I had read). I believe stacy will have easier path to his ceiling.. or at least starting duties but he wasn't even labeled as top 5 back in draft class AND STL still hasn't proven they can be productive. Pead and Richardson will also carve out a role in offense with Pead perhaps overtaking starting gig when coming back. I think you might have a shot at getting lattimore in 2nd rd or off waivers than the other two. Lattimore is no guarantee to be 80% of what he was in college after knee reconstructions on each knee.... and I thought there was hype surrounding the backups in SF last yr?? I like lattimore as dorkhorse for future but not as valuable as franklin
Bo their is no bad choice because each RB are in the same place (3rd) on the Depth Charts. If you're trying to fill a hole look at a Trade or wait and see if Free Agency promotes a Gem. GL my friend
