Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I'm in a deadly serious 12-team standard keeper league with a bunch of my friends that we've had going since college a few years back.
I made it to the Semi-finals this season, but still don;t have all that much talent worthy of keeping.
Our league rules state that you MUST keep 3 players from your team to carry into next season. These 3 players technically count as your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks - and the draft starts in the 4th.
PICK 3 PLAYERS TO KEEP!
QB - Romo, Vick
WR - Julio Jones, Victor Cruz, Dwayne Bowe, Danario Alexander, Danny Amendola, Nate Washington
RB - Ryan Mathews, Mikel LeShoure, BenJarvus Green-Ellis
TE - Tony Gonzales, Vernon Davis
I'm pretty 99% positive I'm going to keep Julio Jones and Cruz, but my RBs are spotty and Davis has been awful recently. I picked up Vick and Dwayne Bowe off the waiver wire just in case they end up in a great spot in the offseason via free agency.
There is not a team in the NFL that would make Vick a top 3 round pick. I think you have to go with Leshoure. His average isn't great and he doesn't get a lot of yards, but the TDs just keep coming. I'll never own Matthews again. None of your TE's or QB's are worthy of being drafted in the first 3 rounds and I wouldn't want 3 WR's coming from those rounds, you won't do well next year if that is the case. You have to keep a RB.

I feel the same way - an RB has to be kept - but my RBs are just terrible keepers. Mathews is made of glass, Leshoure splits carries, and Green-Ellis can get the job done but isn't anything special
