Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I took over this team and got an offer for Welker. I would get Santana Moss, Michael Bush, Peyton Hillis, and Kevin Smith. What would you do. Thanks
I think it's a nice team that you took over. I would not take that trade because it doesn't really work that well with your roster. However, I do think that grabbing kevin smith does make sense for you if you can grab him--but not at the expense of welker. If he would somehow trade you kevin smith for helu, I would probably do it. I hate rb's that are connected to shanahan and there is a possibility that smith will be the rb to own in detroit--which would be bad for you because you have leshore and best.
I'd say no trade, you really aren't upgrading any RB's over what you already have and Welker...
Welker has Tom Brady and a pas first offense...
Moss has a Rookie QB and Mike Shanahan as a coach.
Does anymore need to be said?
I like the offer with a different roster, but you already have all the tertiary RBs with upside that you need. Who do you drop if you accept? Counter with Welker and whichever RB you want to off for Hillis and his best WR2 or simply say no.
Is the other guy friggin serious ? You know that gives you all 3 pieces of the Lions backfield which is getting 1 good player's stats and having to waste 3 roster spots. You realize if you do this trade you have to drop 3 players. So it's really a 1-for-1. So he offers you 2 pieces of crap (Moss and Smith) and 2 so so players for 1 of your only productive players. And you're supposed to jump at it cause it's 4 for 1 !! To answer your question I would either counter with Welker and Best for Bush and Hillis or someone better from his roster or just refuse the trade. You need to scan the waiver wire for some players more valuable than Best, Leshoure,
