    Help me decide

Okay, so here is the deal...

I am in a 12 team keeper league and the rules are that you can keep up to 4 players from last season. The CATCH is that in order to keep a player, you must give up your pick for this years draft 2 SPOTS earlier than that player was drafted last year. this means if you want to keep a 3rd rd pick from last year, you give up your 1st rd for this year. 4th for 2nd, 5th for 3rd, etc. This means that you may not keep a 1st or 2nd rd pick from last year. IF a player was undrafted last year and you got them as a free agent, you can keep them for a 6th rd pick. Also, draft order for this year is based on where you finished last year. I won 1st place so i am 12th pick. then 13th.etc.

now that I explained the basics, here is my situation:

so, as of now I have 2 definite keepers... Victor Cruz i get to keep for a 6th round pick ( i got him as a free agent.) I get Demaryius Thomas for a 16th round pick... (he was drafted 18th round last year).

Here is my dilemma... I got kenny britt 6th round last year. HE WAS AMAZING for 2 games. then got injured and was out for the season.... now, everyone says he looks good, etc. MY QUESTION IS....

DO I KEEP KENNY BRITT FOR A 4TH ROUND PICK? my draft spot is 12, so this would be the 1st pick of the 4th round... is he worth that in a 12 team draft? also bare in mind, many players on other teams are getting kept that would normally be drafted in earlier rounds... id say about 10-20 players in the top 4 rounds this year are being kept... with this in mind, is kenny britt worth a 4th round pick?

also, with all this in mind, i got chicago defense 15th round last season and they were amazing. considering the above are they worth a 13th round pick? they are the only other keeper im considering but you dont NEED 4 so i dont need another.

    • Im guessing rice cant be kept?

    • You dont have a qb or a rb? Keeping 3 recievers seems odd because its the deepest position

YOU CAN ONLY KEEP PEOPLE IF YOU GIVE UP THE PICK 2 PICKS UNDER WHAT THEY WERE DRAFTED FOR LAST YEAR... SO BRITT GOES FOR MY 4TH ROUND PICK SINCE I GOT HIM IN THE 6TH.... GET TI? ALSO PEOPLE WHO WERE UNDRAFTED GO FOR YOUR 6TH ROUND PICK. THATS WHY I GET CRUZ FOR MY 6TH ROUNDER...

        WHO ELSE COULD I KEEP?

    • So who else is on your team???? I cannot fathom that you won and Britt is you next best option.

    • Keep your post smaller. It could be shortened to "Need help. Can't keep top level talent because each keeper cost 2 rounds ahead of what we drafted them from. Should i keep Britt as a 4th rounder? Chicago def for 13th? Cruz and Thomas definite with great value.Any advice would be great."

      Just a thought

    • If 20 players in the top 4 rounds are out of play, then that puts him in range (barely in my opinion), 10-20 players kept is a wide margin. If it's more to the 10 side, I'm leaning to No- let Britt go. I would probably also pass on keeping Chi D.

      • just off the top of my head. people (might be) getting kept are:

fred jackson, victor cruz, gronk, mathews, newton, graham, demarco murray, demarius thomas, julio jones, jordy nelson, darren sproles, reggie bush, mcfadden, Stafford, marshawn lynch

thats 15... does that push britt to 4th round keeper? remember i am 12 overall pick so its round 4 pick 1...

    • It would be nice to know the rest of you roster. It seems odd you wouldn't be keeping a top level talent. Please post the roster.

      • you cant keep TOP level talent... if you read my whole statement above you would see that "The CATCH is that in order to keep a player, you must give up your pick for this years draft 2 SPOTS earlier than that player was drafted last year. this means if you want to keep a 3rd rd pick from last year, you give up your 1st rd for this year. 4th for 2nd, 5th for 3rd, etc. This means that you may not keep a 1st or 2nd rd pick from last year."
