    9th Pick, who to take?

I have the 9th pick in the draft and I have Jimmy Graham and Demaryius Thomas as my keepers. Who would you take out of these players with the 9th pick of the 1st round?

    Trent Richardson
    Darren McFadden
    Adrian Peterson
    Marshawn Lynch
    Larry Fitzgerald

    Thanks guys.

    • HOLY CRAP! How bad was your team when you have like the 70th-ranked receiver of 2011 as one of your two keepers??? And you only got the 9th pick in the draft? At least you have your WR5 position nailed down for the next couple of years...

      • We get one keeper outside the 1st round for 3 years (each year) and another keeper outside the 13th round or a FA pick up as a keeper for 2 years (every other year)

We also do the draft order based on placement from last years playoffs and its a non-snaking draft.

        My team was:
QB: Ben Rothelisburger / Ryan Fitzpatrick / Matt Moore / Jake Locker (had extra QBs since Ben hurt his ankle in the playoffs)
WR: Hakeem Nicks / Steve Smith / Vincent Jackson / Demaryius Thomas
RB: Darren McFadden / Michael Turner / Michael Bush / Marion Barber
        TE: Jimmy Graham
        K: John Kasay
DEF: Pit Defense / Arizona Defense

So my team in my opinion wasn't to bad at all.

      • You have zero idea of how the keeper league this person is in. With guys like McFadden, Peterson, Lynch, and Fitzgerald available, its possible they give up the pick they took their keeper last year. So if this guys took thomas in the 10th round he'd lose his 10th round this year. And that could be incredible value if he took him that late. It's used in a lot of keeper leagues to keep the turnover rate of elite players high. Lets be realistic.. who wouldn't keep fitzgerald? He's the next best receiver behind Megatron. Keep an open mind before you post trash. As for my rankings. I'd definitely say McFadden has the highest ceiling out of all those players, but the injury risk is high. If you go for RunDMC then make sure you cuff him with Goodson late in the draft. Richardson isn't a bad call either. He does play in a difficult division but thats only 6 games of the 16. He will get tons of touches though, which means tons of points. As long as Brandon Weeden can get the passing game working a bit, Richardson will have an easier time running the ball. If they rely on the ground game too much then teams will start stacking 8 in the box and making sure richardson can't get anywhere. The browns have a great O line though. So I'd go Run DMC, Richardson, Fitz, Peterson if you cuff him with Gerhart and then Lynch. All great picks. Can't go wrong if you take a smart approach. Good luck.

      • Robert is a complete idiot. Learn a thing or two before posting... Demaryius Thomas has excellent upside and could finish as a WR1. Anyway, if you check the schedule, Richardson plays one of his six divisional matchups week 17. Peyton Hillis put up excellent numbers two years ago and he isn't as skilled as Richardson. I'd rank your options McFadden, Richardson, Lynch, Fitz, and I wouldn't touch AP.

    • Take Trent Rich, He is going to be a beast! you have no running back, and every single running back past him have their significant questions... If he is gone by then take one of the other 3 running backs.
      My rankings:
      T Rich
      McFadden
      Lynch
      AP
      Fitzgerald

    • I really like Fitz this year even with the QB situation in Ariz. 80 catches and 1400yds last year. If i went with Fitz, I would try and load up on RB in the later rounds using a few roster spots for the "maybe type" RB, because your going to need to find a sleeper. I could talk myself into Mcfadden or Lynch also but no to Richardson and Peterson.
