13. San Francisco (SF - DEF)
14. Jason Campbell (Oak - QB)
15. Dan Carpenter (Mia - K)
All advice appreciated
I like your QB and WRs although I think taking white and rivers in the first two rounds has hurt your running game tremendously. I get the white pick at number 9 in the first, not a bad pick at all but you could have gotten rivers 3-4 rounds later and gotten a top 20 RB instead or maybe another top 20 WR but instead you are entering your season with:
Moreno - now has McGahee vulturing TDs and really didn't prove much last year with his 1000 all-purpose yds and 8 total tds, I don't trust him and don't like him
BJGE - great year last year but there is a reason NE picked back to back RBs in the draft last year and Ridley is twice the back that BJGE is and I think he ends up the starter by mid-year; plus it is NE you never know
Hightower - Great pick, I think he has a monster year with Shannies zone blocking scheme one cut backs always do
Lynch - no passing game in Seattle means 8-9 in the box every down, not a good thing at all....
Your TEs are solid and I think Detroits offense with turn heads this year if Stafford stays healthy
San Frans Def was horrible last year maybe the mere fact that their offense can't stay on the field and the Def is tired but they were supposed to be great. i would just play matchups with Def, seems to work out much better that way.
overall I think you need to make some trades for RBs or you will have a long season. Or maybe someone on the wire will step up. try finding some back ups you think will play like Delone Carter - Ind or McGahee in Denver (he averaged 6+ yds a carry last year in limited work but it was still 6 yds plus a carry)
Hope this helps
You need to go RB with either your first or second pick. I'd wait until round 5 or 6 to get a QB, unless you are one of those guys that has to have one of the top QBs. There is a big difference between getting a top RB and getting a top QB.
While I like Rivers and White, you took them both 6-8 picks earlier than average, and left your RB's very thin. Your RB1 definitely cannot be someone who will split carries and not get goal line attempts (unless its Charles). In a big league RB are not easy to replace, WR are much easier to get off waivers.
