Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I have the 12th pick in a 12 team .5 ppr H2H league.
Do I draft 2 WR and grab running backs in the 3rd and 4th round? I have never drafted in a ppr league, so any advice would be appreciated!
Is the draft snake order?
I would take WR since you draft so late in the round. Most people will probably grab RB's, so you should have an elite WR's available (Andre or Calvin J.).
If snake order, I would then follow with a top RB also...
In a ppr league, you want high quality RBs that catch passes, so I would think RB/RB/WR/WR/QB/WR would be a very nice approach
QBs likely to be available with 5th pick are Schaub Ryan, maybe Romo, Roethlisberger --- all excellent FF QBs
Then in the 8th or 9th pick up your back up QB like Stafford, Flacco or Manning

5 to 6 years ago I would agree about taking 2 rb back to back, but now the NFL is all about passing. The value in wide recievers is high. I do agree with pass catching rb, but running backs thin not to mention that most teams use a two headed running back system. Pick the one that gets the td's over the one who picks up the yards. And no way does matt ryan make it to the fifth round.
I'm in a league with same structure. If i draft early 1-4/5..i'm rb,wr,wr,te,rb,qb,rb,rb...6-12 i'm wr,wr,rb,te,qb,rb,rb,rb,rb,wr..after top 8-9 rb's go, i'll load up in middle rounds on them (a top rb comes from that pack each year)..worked last couple of years for me, so i'll try it again (foster 6th rd)...no guarentees, but that's what i'm going with
