Draft and Trade Talk Message Board

Cassel and Manningham...Let's say Cassel and Bradford are a wash. I believe Manningham is primed for a huge year. Manning has back to back 4000 yard seasons and not all the yards are going to Nicks right?
Background: 10 team league where QBs go fast in the draft because they get 6 points a td. Basically the top QBs score in the mid 300's for a season (340-370) where top RBs get around 230.
So after talking with some people and looking at prior drafts, the first four picks are going to be: Vick, Peterson, Brady, Rodgers.
I'm thinking to go with Brees. My thought process is that there are some question marks around charles, CJ and foster. Plus, I could get a top QB ad since there will be 10 picks before i pick again, I more than likely will get either a top 10 RB or a top 3 WR.

Ok I'm gonna give you my thoughts all though you may disagree with them. My league also gives 6 pts per TD for QB's, that doesn't mean I overvalue them. Think about it Ryan, Eli, Rothlisberger, Stafford, Freeman they all get 6pts per TD not just the elite. I am shocked the first 4 picks in your league are going to be QBs.? While they are taking a QB with their top pick pounce and grab a top RB(Foster, AP, CJ, Charles, Rice) whoever is there. Look at it this way the difference between a top tier RB and a RB you have to grab late is way more then the difference between Brees and an Eli or Stafford. My opinion...like I said my league scores 6 pts for TDs for QBs as well and I've always loaded up on RBs and WRs and drafted a quality starting QB later and I've finished no worse then 3rd the last 5 years.
Well he's very risky this year coming off knee surgery. But theres no question he has the highest upside of all the players we've mentioned. He's been a stud in fantasy for years so he's definitely worth the risk. Especially when you have a very capable TE in Pettigrew. Plus Davis is also a risk this year with the mess at QB going on in SF.

Well after the four players you named that you want to keep you really don't have a whole lot to offer for a star. With that being said I would probably target MJD since you can probably get him at a discount right now with the injury concers. I think at minimum Davis will have to be involved, take a look at the needs of the other teams in your league.
A guy in my 12 team dynasty league put CJ2K on the block. So i went after him because i had some depth.
I got: CJ2K and Hester (who was a throw in and i dropped him)
I gave: Felix Jones, Ryan Grant, Malcom Floyd
I gave up a lot, but still think i did alright, what do you think?

Yes you definitely won especially if you have the depth. In my opinion the team that comes out with the best player usually wins the deal. Grant may be in a timeshare with Starks at best. Besides GB is a passing team.
