Huge Trade to get Chris Johnson
My team:
QB: T. Brady, M.Vick, M. Ryan
WR: A. Johnson, B.Marshall, C. Johnson, H. Ward, J. Maclin
RB: J. Best, S. Jackson, P. Hillis, L. Blount
His team:
QB: M. Cassel, R. Fitzpatrick
WR: M. Thomas, K. Walter, R. Williams, H. Nicks, E. Royal
RB: C. Johnson, R. Mendenhall, S. Green, M. Tolbert
What you guys think I want to get C. Johnson and he needs help at WR I think and maybe even QB, what could I propose to him that would be fair?-
Here's how I see it:
His #1 need is at QB. Brady is a sell-high (NE's offense has changed to short-passes and more running, but he still has a big name). You also have Vick who is great when starting, and Ryan who's a decent backup. So you can offer him Brady and probably get the best value in return.
His #2 need is WR. You have great WR depth. Maclin is probably the best sell-high with Vick returning. You could also easily lose Ward, and I see them as about equal, so you could offer either of them.
He's not going to give you CJ without getting a quality RB in return. Best is a sell-high. You can also afford to lose Blount.
So I think your best offer is any combination of Brady, Maclin/Ward, and Best/Blount. Is there anyone else on his team you like, so you could offer him a 3-for-2 trade? CJ + Greene would be nice, but he might be uncomfortable trading 2 RBs away. -
Alright I'll shoot him a trade with S. Jackson and J. Maclin

He needs help at WR & QB true, but his RB's will suck if he ncomes off CJ. Be prepared to give up S Jackson plus another player, probably one of the Johnsons. Gotta give up a lot to get what you want.
