I had a connection problem so the auto drafter picked me a 5th RB, which I swapped out for shockey

And I drafted sidney rice, and the reason why I drafted him was I didnt know that he was injured(yeah yeah I know I should have done my more research, but yahoo, draft central,ESPN,etc should have let me know earlier that he was injured)

So I dropped sidney and added Dion Branch, because Branch has had 1 or 2 good seasons in the past, and now that TJ is gone, branch is the goto WR in the hawks offense.

The main 2 weaknesses I see with team is 1.braylon edwards is a 4th tier WR not a 3rd tier, so lack of a 3rd WR, and as Dallas goes I go.

These 2 weaknesses came about because since I pick back to back picks, and since other teams made runs, I just picked the best guys available within the drafting plan I had, which was to go Chris, then a top WR like Austin Miles, then a 2nd RB if top QB's gone, or a top QB 3rd. then a RB 4th then 2nd WR 5th Then a 3rd RB 6th then grab a TE 7th then grab 3rd WR 8th.

That made it that I just happened to end up with 3 dallas guys on my team. After I took my 2nd WR, The league made a run at WR's and I made a error in taking sidney rice in round 9 or so.

So I think this is a pretty good team and I think I sould finish in the top 4 teams in my league.

But what do you guys think??

      thanks for the help

and good luck during the season

    • Other leagues- I was thinking of picking up Rob Gronkowski, the TE from New England. Should I drop Huggins for him? Which league? Cause even if Cadillac goes down, will he really be that good on the Bucs offense?

      • Team 1: Nice Job, though Wells will split a lot of carries. 2 top tier WRs in 12 teams is hard, though look to trade Austin away soon for a good RB and solid WR in return. Maybe like Austin and Wells for Grant/Mendenhall and Bowe, something along those lines. 8/10

Team 2: Even better job. WRs are nearly as good, with Best as a better RB. I also think you have decent flex plays. 8.5/10

Do not drop Huggins for Gonkowski, you have two solid TEs

    • 12-team H2H 0.5 ppr league. 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 W/R, 1 K, 1 DEF

      QB- Flacco, Rothlisberger

WR- Andre Johnson, Miles Austin, Steve Smith (Giants), Jacoby Jones, Sidney Rice

RB- Best, Portis, Harrison, Tomlinson, Huggins

      TE- Jermichael Finley, Greg Olsen

      K- Rackers

      DEF- New Orleans

Idealistic outlook- Stick with what I have and, WR trio destroys, offsets RB concerns

Flacco becomes a top QB, my 3 main WR's kill it, Best becomes an every week starter, and any one of Harrison, Portis, or Tomlinson rotate into the RB2 spot. Flex is used by Sidney Rice when he comes back, or Harrison/LT if they both get TD's

Cautionary outlook- My RB's behind Best are all old and full of question marks

Andre Johnson is awesome and I might value Steve Smith (NYG) more than my opponent, so that makes Miles Austin the trade chip. I'm very high on him too, but he'd be my only viable trade chip to get another dependable RB1 in return. My team would be a little more balanced and have much more security at RB.

Are any of these trades good for my team and acceptable for the other side?

Teams with good RB's that need receiver help-

Team A (already has Mendenhall at RB1)

I give Flacco, Miles Austin, Portis, Huggins

I get Shaub, Mattews, Dez Bryant, Sproles

Team B (Chris Johnson, Ryan Grant, Pierre Thomas at RB, Ochocinco, Harvin, Knox at WR)

I give Miles Austin, Portis, Greg Olsen, New Orleans D/ST

I get Ryan Grant, Ochocinco, Zach Miller,San Francisco D/ST

Or Harrison, Portis, Olsen, New Orleans for Grant, Zach Miller, San Francisco?

      Team C

I give Miles Austin, Portis, Harrison, Huggins

I get Turner, Boldin, Foster, Mike Williams

      or maybe just Austin,Portis,Harrison for Turner,Boldin ?

      • 1 Reply to Double D
      • Team C trade would be the best if you could pull that off. Your team is pretty good, I like Flacco and you have very very good WRs. Personally, I think Best posts top 12 stats making him a low end RB1 in 12 teamers. Also, I think Portis will have a bounce back year with 1000 yards rushing and 8 TDs or more. If anything, try to package Smith and Portis for a RB like Pierre Thomas if you could or maybe Benson. Jacoby Jones as a fine WR3 till Sid comes back. 8.5/10

      • Team 1, pretty solid all around, like Spiller as a flex play for week 1, though Fred Jackson might be back. Very thin at RB, however. 8.25/10

Team 2, Great RBs, Lack of good WRs. Welker is not 100 percent and I hate Ochocinco this year. Fred Taylor is not a good flex play though. See if you can pick up a Gaffney or Mike Williams from FAs. There is a Miles Austin every year, find him first. 8/10
