Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I have some big expectations from this team this year. I would appreciate it if you could rate it position by position on a A-F scale. Its' a 10 team league H2H scoring Non-PPR.
QB: Tom Brady
WR: Andre Johnson
WR: Larry Fitzgerald
WR: Jabar Gaffney
RB: C.J. Spiller
RB: Ryan Mathews
TE: Antonio Gates
K: Ryan Longwell
QB: Kevin Kolb
WR: Vincent Jackson
WR: Robert Meachem
WR: Eddie Royal
RB: Cedric Benson
RB: LeSean McCoy
So do you think its a Championship team?
Starting WR are stong until you get to Gaffney. He'll be a sub-par WR 3.
Strong RB's, but your bench is stronger than the guys you're starting. Benson is a low-end RB1 and should be in your lineup every week. Spiller will be exciting to watch but he'll also be inconsistent .
Brady is traditionally a low end QB1 or high QB2, but the Pats may be throwing from behind a lot this year. Kolb should be a solid QB 2 but he's still unproven.
In a 10 team league you're one WR injury away from 7th place.
I'd be looking to move an unproven RB for a legitimate WR3. Look for the guy who drafted Rodgers or Brees and got screwed at RB. Try to move Matthews and Brady for one of those guys and a real WR 3.
Grade: C+ (average with a little upside). Too many unproven guys going in to week one to be a legitimate contender in a small league.

Dude... it basically sounds like you only want to hear from people who agree that your team is a championship team. Spiller and Mathews are not locks to have great years. Spiller is RB#3 in Buffalo right now. Sure, he'll get lots of opportunity to play, but he's not a feature back. Unless the other two guys sh*t the bed he'll get some limited (and hopefully positive) action. Exciting for the future, but is the future today? He's on my draft list as one of my options for my RB#3, but then I'm in a 14-team league, not an easy 10-team league.
Mathews is more solid, but I'm not sure I'd bet the farm on him. Rookies are never locks. Ryan Leaf anyone? Remember the hype around Reggie Bush? Bush is still very talented, but he never put up the numbers that were initially expected.
So I'd suggest you humble-up a little and realize that you may need to make some moves, keep an eye on the waiver wire, and actually manage your team if you want to win. You don't have a team that you can simply cruise to the championship with.
