Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I think this is a very even trade. If you think L Johnson will stink as I do then 4 sure do the trade. Oh and on my post I will start Romo every week and on his bye garrard is playing the rams so thats why I took him.
I'd want to be Team B. The upgrade at QB is nice and you're not giving away a lot to get it. In order for this trade to be worth it for A, he has to be *really* shallow at the RB spot. Berrian and Ocho are both speculation picks this year, but the ceiling's a lot higher for Ocho than it is for Bernard.
Basically, player A is downgrading at 2 positions to pick up an aging RB on a crummy team with a gawd-awful O line. It's possible that move's an improvement to his overall roster (making this an acceptable trade for him anyways). But it's doubtful. And if he did need an RB that bad, he should downgrade a bit further at the QB spot and try to pick up a strong play rather than a situational at best injury prone disaster.
Brees is a good GB and ocho is great and all but rodgers is going to have a great season, berrian is iffy and Larry Johnson should have a decent season.
Personally I would only do this trade if i have two good running back to play if i lost Larry Johnson. Also if you desperately need a WR, in that case you should do the trade.
do NOT trade Brees and Ocho.
Brees is A SURE THING he will put up big numbers consistantly. with rogers you never know what happens in that lambo cold and snow. not to mention ocho is on pace to have a back to form year. palmers back, and ocho had a great camp. larry johnson isnt gonna do much this year again, chiefs suck and they most likely will be playing from behind so im thinking pass happy offense on a losing team.
